Assassin's Creed Shadows - Claws of Awaji — Ubisoft Connect

What is Assassin's Creed Shadows - Claws of Awaji?

Claws of Awaji is a major story expansion for Assassin's Creed Shadows on PC. This Ubisoft Connect product adds a new adventure set on the island of Awaji, where Naoe and Yasuke pursue a lost treasure while surviving traps, ambushes, new enemy types, and dangerous bosses. It is downloadable content rather than the base game, so a compatible PC copy of Assassin's Creed Shadows is required.

The expansion offers more than 10 hours of additional content. Its new region extends the open-world action-adventure experience beyond the main campaign, giving players another area to explore and fresh enemy operations to disrupt.

What does the Claws of Awaji expansion include?

• A new explorable region on the island of Awaji.
• A new story chapter featuring Naoe and Yasuke.
• More than 10 hours of additional gameplay.
• New bosses, enemy types, traps, and ambushes.
• Legendary Bō weapons for Naoe with unique engravings.
• New skills, weapon abilities, armor, and gear for both protagonists.
• Equipment and progression rewards that can be taken back into the main game.

The new Bō weapon option expands Naoe's combat toolkit, while the additional skills and equipment create more room to refine builds for stealth and direct encounters. Returning to the main map with expansion gear also gives the DLC practical value beyond its standalone storyline.

How do you access Claws of Awaji?

Claws of Awaji is designed for players who have progressed through the main story. After completing the Out of the Shadows quest, the expansion begins through the News from Hattori Hanzo quest. Speak to Konatsu at the Hideout to continue into the new storyline. Make sure the DLC is installed if the quest does not appear.
