For Honor Year 8 Standard — Ubisoft Connect

What Is For Honor Year 8 Standard?

For Honor Year 8 Standard is the Ubisoft Connect version that provides PC access to Ubisoft’s third-person melee combat game. Players can join battles featuring knights, Vikings, samurai, Wu Lin, and Outlander-themed warriors while learning the weapons, defensive options, and attack chains of different heroes.

The Standard edition is intended for players who want to start playing and explore the core For Honor experience. Official Year 8 edition information states that this package includes 14 playable heroes. However, the Year 8 designation does not mean that every hero, cosmetic item, or season package released during the eighth year is automatically included. You should check the product page for the exact content list before purchasing.

Melee Combat and Warrior Selection

For Honor’s gameplay is built around timing, directional defense, attack chains, parrying, and reading your opponent’s moves. Each hero has a different range, speed, durability, and combat rhythm. You can learn the core mechanics with a balanced Vanguard, choose an Assassin focused on faster attacks, or hold control points with the heavily defended Heavy class.

Hero progression advances separately for each character. Experience, gear, and visual customization options earned from matches allow you to focus on your favorite warrior. The in-game currency known as Steel can be used to unlock eligible heroes, outfits, emotes, effects, and other customization content. This digital product is not itself a Steel pack.

Single-Player and Multiplayer Modes

The story-driven campaign can be used to learn the fundamentals of the melee combat system and try different warrior styles. In multiplayer, team coordination and map control become just as important as individual reflexes.

• Duel: Defense, timing, and opponent analysis take center stage in 1v1 battles between two players.
• Brawl: 2v2 matches require positioning and target coordination with your teammate.
• Dominion: In this 4v4 mode, capturing control points, managing minion lanes, and preventing the opposing team from respawning are essential.
• Breach: In siege-based 4v4 battles, the attacking and defending sides focus on different objectives.
• Arcade: PvE encounters with varying rules provide opportunities to try different heroes and equipment loadouts.
