Sifu — Epic Games

What Is Sifu — Epic Games?

Sifu — Epic Games is a single-player third-person action and fighting game developed by Sloclap. You control a young kung fu student searching for the warriors responsible for the death of their family, combining attacks, parries, dodges, and environmental interactions in intense close-quarters combat encounters.

The game stands out with its Pak-Mei kung fu techniques, challenging groups of enemies, and gameplay built around mastering its mechanics through repeated playthroughs. In each level, it is important to learn your opponents’ attack patterns, defend at the right moment, and position yourself to avoid being surrounded by crowds.

Sifu Gameplay and Progression System

Sifu’s death and aging system turns every defeat into part of your progression. Thanks to a magical pendant, you can get back up after falling, but your character ages. As your age increases, the balance between attack power and resilience changes, so you need to move more carefully in every fight.

You can unlock new abilities with experience points earned throughout the levels and invest in useful techniques to make them permanent. Discovering shortcuts, learning the patterns of level bosses, and returning to previous areas better prepared make progression easier.

What Can You Do in Combat?

• Close-quarters combat: You can use light and heavy attacks in different combinations.
• Defense: You can master the timing of blocks, parries, and dodges.
• Environmental interactions: You can throw objects, use weapons, and drive opponents into obstacles.
• Skill development: You can unlock new moves to create your own fighting style.
• Replayability: You can replay levels to achieve better ratings, complete different objectives, and improve your combat performance.
