Scars Above — Xbox Series X/S

Embark on a Mysterious Space Mission with Scars Above on Xbox Series X/S

Scars Above on Xbox Series X/S offers a sci-fi experience set on a foreign planet, combining a challenging third-person action and exploration structure to provide a story-driven adventure. Developed by Mad Head Games and published by Prime Matter, the game focuses on a dangerous research mission that unfolds after the appearance of a mysterious structure in Earth's orbit.

What to Expect from Scars Above?

Scars Above is a game that merges action-adventure and third-person shooter genres with sci-fi exploration. The goal in the game is not just survival; it's about understanding the planet you're on, examining the environment, discovering the weaknesses of creatures, and responding to threats with the right strategy.

The game establishes a more investigative structure rather than the classic shooter pace. You need to observe the enemies you encounter, choose different weapons and equipment options at the right moment, and evaluate environmental clues. This structure makes the Scars Above gaming experience more careful, tactical, and discovery-focused.

Storyline and Atmosphere

The story of Scars Above begins with the emergence of a giant and unknown space structure near Earth. Humanity assigns the SCAR team to investigate this structure. During the mission, the team finds itself on an unknown, dangerous, and biologically strange planet. The game's main character, Kate Ward, tracks her team in this alien world while trying to unravel the planet's mysteries.

In terms of atmosphere, Scars Above highlights the cold sci-fi feel, the sense of loneliness, and the tension of encountering the unknown. The creatures of the planet, its environmental structure, and technological traces constantly lead the player in pursuit of the question "what happened here?"

What Awaits You in Gameplay?

Scars Above gameplay is based on third-person combat, exploration, environmental scanning, resource usage, and enemy analysis. Not every enemy type is invincible. You need to keep your distance from some creatures, choose the right weapon effects against others, and turn the environment into an advantage at certain moments.
