ELEX II — Xbox Series X/S

Return to Magalan with ELEX II on Xbox Series X/S

Experience the clash of fallen civilizations, advanced technology, and fantastical powers in the same world with ELEX II Xbox Series X/S, calling you back to the harsh and dangerous open world of Magalan. Developed by Piranha Bytes and published by THQ Nordic, this action RPG combines the freedom of exploration, faction choices, and jetpack-assisted movement system with a science-fantasy atmosphere.

What Is ELEX II?

ELEX II is an action role-playing game with an open-world structure. Built on Piranha Bytes' design philosophy known from the Gothic and Risen series, the game offers a progression area shaped by choices rather than a single straight line for the player.

In the game, you explore the post-apocalyptic planet named Magalan, encounter different factions, make decisions in missions, and guide your character's development through combat, dialogue, equipment, and exploration preferences.

Story and Atmosphere

ELEX II focuses on a new threat in Magalan following the events of the first game. The world still bears the traces of old wars, resource struggles, and ideological divides. Technology, magic-like powers, and the wild nature intertwine in the same universe.

The atmosphere of the game is harsher than a classic fantasy RPG. Here, you don't only fight creatures; you also choose which communities to approach, whom to trust, and what role you will play in Magalan's future.

What Awaits You in Gameplay?

The gameplay of ELEX II revolves around close combat, ranged weapons, special abilities, mission choices, and open-world exploration. The use of a jetpack makes vertical movement more important on the map, enhancing the sense of exploration.

Who Is It For?

ELEX II Xbox Series X/S is suitable for players who enjoy open-world RPGs, prioritize exploration, and want their choices to have consequences in the game. If you are looking for free exploration, mission variety, and character development rather than guided and cinematic action games, this game might pique your interest.

If you enjoy universes blending sci-fi and fantasy themes, Magalan's faction-focused structure and harsh atmosphere offer you a different RPG experience.
