ELDEN RING: Shadow of the Erdtree Edition

What Is ELDEN RING: Shadow of the Erdtree Edition, Steam?

ELDEN RING: Shadow of the Erdtree Edition, Steam is a digital edition that combines the base game of the action RPG experience developed by FromSoftware with the Shadow of the Erdtree expansion. In addition to the core adventure in the Lands Between, the package includes new regions, enemies, boss encounters, and equipment options introduced by the expansion.

This edition is intended for PC players who want to begin the adventure from scratch and access the expansion content through the same package. The product is activated on the Steam platform and is designated for the EU region. Before purchasing, make sure that the region of the Steam account on which the code will be redeemed is compatible with the activation terms specified on the product page.

What Is Included in the Edition?

The Shadow of the Erdtree Edition includes the ELDEN RING base game and the Shadow of the Erdtree expansion. The base game delivers the core experience shaped by open-world exploration, character progression, challenging combat, extensive equipment options, and online features. The expansion adds a new adventure area that can be explored using your character from the base game.

• Base game: Includes the world of the Lands Between, the main story, and the core character progression systems.
• Shadow of the Erdtree: Unlocks the Land of Shadow region, new dungeons, enemies, and boss encounters.
• New equipment: Offers new weapons, armor, spells, and skill options for different character builds.
• Steam version: Requires the digital code to be activated on a compatible Steam account.

Unlike the standalone Shadow of the Erdtree expansion, this package also includes the base game. If ELDEN RING is already in your Steam library, it is important to check the product contents to avoid making a duplicate purchase.

Gameplay and Character Progression

Rather than forcing players to follow a fixed class path, ELDEN RING provides the freedom to create their own character build through weapons, attribute points, spells, and combat skills. Players can choose melee combat, ranged attacks, magic, or hybrid builds that combine these approaches. Runes found during exploration are used to level up the character, meet equipment requirements, and prepare for different combat styles.

Shadow of the Erdtree expands upon the progression of the base game with a new progression system and tougher encounters. New weapon types and skills provide additional options for players who want to modify their existing character build or try different tactics. During boss battles, it is important to learn attack patterns, manage stamina, select the right equipment, and make use of spirit-summoning systems when necessary.

Exploration, PvE, and the Online Experience

The game world features a nonlinear exploration structure. Open areas, castles, underground regions, hidden passages, and multilayered dungeons contain a variety of rewards. Players can follow the main quest path, investigate the stories of supporting characters, or pursue optional boss encounters to develop their characters.

While world exploration and boss battles are the main focus of PvE, online systems allow players to cooperate with others or participate in PvP encounters under suitable conditions. An internet connection and active Steam services are required to use online features. Server availability and online features may be updated over time.

Steam Activation and EU Region Check

The digital code can be redeemed through the product activation section of the Steam client. Once activation is complete, compatible content is added to the Steam library and becomes ready to download. The EU designation indicates that the code is intended for the European region.
