What Are Uplay Games and How Are They Related to Ubisoft Connect?

Uplay is the former name of Ubisoft’s platform for PC games. This service now operates under the name Ubisoft Connect. Therefore, searches such as Uplay Games, Uplay games, or Uplay key generally refer to PC games that are added to a Ubisoft Connect account. If the purchased product is a Ubisoft Connect PC key, the code is activated on an eligible Ubisoft account, and the game appears in the library linked to that account.

Ubisoft Connect allows users to manage their game library, download eligible games, use social features, and access challenges and rewards in supported titles. Cross-progression, cross-play, statistics, and Ubisoft Connect rewards are not available in the same way for every game. The availability of these features should be checked based on the selected game, platform, and services linked to the account.

What Content Can Be Found in This Category?

The Other Ubisoft Games category may include options for various play styles, ranging from single-player campaigns and online modes to tactical gameplay and city or resource management. Some products unlock the full game, while others may provide only a specific expansion pack, seasonal content, cosmetic bundle, or upgrade. The presence of an edition label such as Gold, Deluxe, Complete, or Ultimate in the product name does not mean that its contents are the same for every game.

• Full game: Provides access to the specified base game.
• Special edition: May include the digital content listed on the product page in addition to the base game.
• DLC or expansion: Usually requires the relevant base game to be present on the account.
• In-game bundle: May provide access to specific cosmetics, missions, equipment, or other additional content.

Rather than determining the included content based solely on the edition name, you should read the contents section on the product page. For products that still carry the former Uplay name, checking whether the current activation platform is Ubisoft Connect PC will make it easier to select the correct product.

What Should You Consider When Choosing a Ubisoft Game?

Before purchasing a Ubisoft game, you should consider its genre, supported game modes, edition contents, and system requirements together. Players interested in story-driven experiences can check the campaign length and single-player features, while those looking for competitive or cooperative gameplay can review the online features, supported player count, and required account connections. When purchasing DLC, it is especially important to own an eligible edition of the base game on the correct platform.

• Platform: Verify whether the code is for Ubisoft Connect PC, Steam, Epic Games, Xbox, or PlayStation.
• Region: Make sure the product can be activated in the country associated with your account.
• Edition: Compare the contents of the Standard, Deluxe, Gold, Complete, and Ultimate editions individually.
• Language support: Check the interface, subtitle, and audio options on the product page and the game’s official website.
• System requirements: Verify that your computer meets the processor, graphics card, memory, and storage requirements.

How Do You Activate a Uplay or Ubisoft Connect Code?

A game or content key provided for Ubisoft Connect PC can be redeemed through the code activation section of the Ubisoft Connect application. After signing in to your account, open the profile menu, select the key activation option, and enter the code in the relevant field. Once the process is complete, a full game will be added to your library, while DLC or unlockable content will become available in the relevant game. Since the activated product is linked to the selected Ubisoft account, you should check your account details before confirming the code.

A Ubisoft game launched through Steam or Epic Games may require an additional account connection. In contrast, a direct Ubisoft Connect key may not be redeemable on another storefront. The platform icon, region information, base game requirement, and delivery details should be reviewed on the product page before purchasing. Selecting the wrong platform or region may prevent activation and affect the refund process.
