DOOM (1993) + DOOM II — GOG

What is DOOM (1993) + DOOM II?

DOOM (1993) + DOOM II — GOG, GOG.com is a PC edition that brings together the classic DOOM games and various additional episodes. Built around fast movement, level exploration, secret areas, and intense battles against demons, it delivers an old-school first-person shooter experience.

Players can fight through DOOM's campaign, which stretches from the bases on Mars to the depths of Hell, before battling the demons invading Earth in DOOM II. The series' iconic weapons, including the shotgun, rocket launcher, plasma rifle, and BFG 9000, require players to develop tactics suited to different enemy types and narrow corridors.

Which games and episodes are included in the package?

According to the latest GOG.com store information, the package offers an extensive selection of missions alongside DOOM and DOOM II. After completing the main campaigns, players can move on to more challenging maps, community content, and different gameplay options.

• Main games: DOOM and DOOM II.
• Classic content: TNT: Evilution, The Plutonia Experiment, Master Levels for DOOM II, and No Rest for the Living.
• Additional episodes: Sigil, Sigil II, and Legacy of Rust, which includes new enemies and weapons.
• Gameplay options: Single-player missions, co-op, and deathmatch modes.
• Modern enhancements: Controller support, quick save and load, widescreen support, improved performance, and accessibility options.

How does the classic FPS gameplay work?

In the DOOM games, the objective is not simply to move through corridors. Players must find keycards, unlock sealed areas, discover secret rooms, and carefully manage ammunition and health resources. Staying on the move to avoid enemy attacks, switching weapons according to the situation, and learning each level's layout form the core of the gameplay.

DOOM II expands on the first game's formula with new weapons such as the Super Shotgun and more powerful enemies. The additional mission packs offer experienced players more complex maps, intense battles, and challenges in which resource management becomes increasingly important.

Multiplayer modes and mod support

The updated edition includes online cross-platform deathmatch and co-op support. GOG GALAXY and a Bethesda.net account may be required to use these features. Local split-screen support for up to four players on the same device is also included.

The in-game mod browser makes it easier to find compatible content published by the community. Mods may require separate installation and use additional storage space. It is important to review the latest GOG.com product information for online features, mods, and account requirements.

GOG.com platform and purchase information

This edition is intended for Windows PC and the GOG.com platform. If the product is delivered as a GOG code, it must be activated on an eligible GOG.com account.
