Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III Cross-Gen — Xbox One

What Is Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III Cross-Gen for Xbox?

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III Cross-Gen — Xbox One One is a digital bundle that provides access to both the Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S versions of the game. It combines the series’ fast-paced FPS gameplay with a campaign, competitive multiplayer matches, and the open-world Modern Warfare Zombies experience.

The Cross-Gen format helps you download the correct version of the game for your compatible console generation using the same Xbox account. If you use an Xbox Series X|S, you can select the current-generation version; if you use an Xbox One, you can select the previous-generation version. This bundle is not the Vault Edition; exclusive Operator packs, Weapon Vault content, or similar Vault Edition benefits should not be considered included unless separately specified on the product page.

Campaign, Multiplayer, and Zombies Content

The Continuation of the Modern Warfare Story

The campaign sends Captain Price and Task Force 141 back into action against the threat of Vladimir Makarov. In addition to cinematic missions, it includes Open Combat Missions that give players freedom in how they approach objectives. In these missions, you can choose between stealth, direct combat, different weapons, and equipment found throughout the environment.

Multiplayer Combat on Classic Maps

Multiplayer emphasizes systems for creating classes, upgrading weapons, unlocking attachments, and preparing loadouts suited to different game modes. The content includes modernized versions of all 16 launch maps from 2009’s Modern Warfare 2, along with new gameplay features. In team-based modes, map knowledge, proper equipment selection, and weapon control are key elements of progression.

Open-World Modern Warfare Zombies

Modern Warfare Zombies takes players to a large PvE environment featuring missions, loot, contracts, and increasingly difficult zones. You can move around the same map as other squads, fight zombies and various threats, collect equipment, and attempt to reach an extraction point. This mode offers a long-term progression loop, particularly for players who enjoy completing missions, coordinating with a team, and managing resources.

What the Cross-Gen Bundle Offers Players

• Two Xbox generations: Includes the Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S versions in a single bundle.
• Single-player content: Provides access to campaign missions focused on Task Force 141.
• Multiplayer progression: Lets you progress through weapon levels, attachments, camos, and class configurations.
• Zombies experience: Includes open-world gameplay focused on missions, loot, teamwork, and PvE combat.
• Cross-generation flexibility: Makes it easier to use the appropriate Xbox version when switching consoles.

Before Redeeming the Xbox Digital Code

Before purchasing, check the digital code’s region, the supported Xbox account region, and which versions of the game the product includes. The Cross-Gen label refers to the Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S versions; it does not provide access on other platforms. An eligible Xbox subscription and an internet connection may be required for online multiplayer features. Additional requirements, such as an Activision account or a phone number linked to the account, may also apply.

Because refund options may be limited after the code has been redeemed, make sure the account region matches the product region. Delivery and redemption information is available on the Itemgold product page. If you experience an activation or delivery issue, the Itemgold support team can assist you.
