Call of Duty: Ghosts

What is Call of Duty: Ghosts on Steam?

Call of Duty: Ghosts on Steam is a digital product that provides PC access to the first-person shooter developed by Infinity Ward. The game brings together a cinematic single-player campaign, competitive multiplayer matches, the team-management-based Squads mode, and the Extinction experience, in which players battle an alien threat.

The story takes place in an alternate near future where the global balance of power has shifted following a major catastrophe. The player joins the Ghosts team on missions against a technologically superior enemy. Missions across different regions feature stealth, vehicle gameplay, intense combat, and special story-driven sequences.

Which modes are available in the game?

Single-player campaign

The campaign follows the struggle to reclaim an occupied country. Operations carried out by the Ghosts unit involve different weapons, tactical objectives, and distinctive gameplay elements such as Riley, a trained military dog. This mode is designed for players seeking a story-focused Call of Duty experience separate from online competition.

Multiplayer battles

In multiplayer, players can create their own soldiers, configure their loadouts, and enter combat using different weapon classes. Interactive elements and player-triggered events on dynamic maps can change the battlefield during a match. The Marksman Rifle class, killstreak rewards, and various movement options also make choosing the right equipment and playstyle important.

Squads and Extinction

Squads mode allows players to build a team from soldiers they have created and developed. The weapons and equipment assigned to squad members can affect the behavior of AI-controlled soldiers. Extinction pits players against waves of alien creatures in missions that require class selection, teamwork, and resource management.
