Fortnite Crew will switch to a new subscription structure starting December 5, 2026. The monthly V-Bucks amount will increase from 1,000 to as much as 1,600 based on the length of your uninterrupted membership. However, Crew outfit packs will be discontinued, with the final pack available to subscribers throughout December. Therefore, evaluating the change solely in terms of receiving more in-game currency would be incomplete. A player who subscribes for the regular outfit pack may make a different decision than one who values the included passes and V-Bucks balance.
How Many V-Bucks Will You Get in Each New Tier?
| Core | 1–2 months | 1,000 |
| Bronze | 3–5 months | 1,200 |
| Silver | 6–11 months | 1,400 |
| Gold | 12 months or more | 1,600 |
Existing subscribers’ starting tiers will be determined by the length of their uninterrupted membership during the previous 12 months. Not everyone will enter the system at the Gold tier, and it would also be incorrect to automatically add together all membership months from separate periods. If your membership has remained uninterrupted, review your previous start and renewal dates. Epic states that you will be able to check your starting tier from the in-game Crew tab on December 5. This will allow you to view your own status on your account screen instead of estimating it based on a general example from social media. From a budgeting perspective, there is a monthly difference of 600 V-Bucks between the highest and lowest tiers in the table. This is only the difference in the amount of in-game currency and does not determine the subscription’s total value on its own. You should also consider the passes you will actually use and the outfit packs that will no longer be included.
OG Pass Is Ending, Final Crew Pack Arrives in December
OG Pass will end on December 5. As for Crew outfits, the final pack will be available to subscribers throughout December. Although these two changes are part of the same update, their schedules work differently: one refers to an end date on a specific day, while the other describes a final pack available throughout the month. Any remaining Legacy Styles for existing Crew Packs will also be granted in December. You do not need to have an active subscription at that time; the requirement is that you already own the relevant Crew Pack. Do not interpret this announcement as meaning that older packs you do not own or all outfits will be given away. When checking your collection, you can create two separate lists: packs already on your account and content you expect from December’s final pack. Receiving a remaining style for an older pack and gaining ownership of a new pack are separate entitlements. Understanding this distinction when deciding whether to subscribe will help you avoid unrealistic expectations.
XP Boost and Continuing Passes
The new structure also gives Crew members a 20% XP boost and non-Crew teammates playing with them a 10% XP boost. Having multiple Crew members in the same party does not stack these bonuses. Battle Pass, Music Pass, LEGO Pass, and Rocket Pass Premium will remain included. If you regularly play with a group of friends, you can factor in the XP boost. However, do not calculate it by adding together every percentage shown on the screen. Read separately which bonus applies to you, which applies to your teammates, and the requirement to play together.
Make a Quick Comparison Before Deciding Whether to Subscribe
First, determine why you use Crew. Do you use multiple included passes during the month? Was the regular outfit pack the main reason for your membership? Will you actually spend the V-Bucks you receive on content you want? Evaluate your answers to these questions alongside your tier. Do not infer a price for Türkiye or a TRY equivalent from the announcement; refer to the current terms shown on the payment screen. The new system also begins on December 5, not today.
ItemGold’s Take
When evaluating the changes to Crew, consider which content you use before focusing on the membership time you have accumulated. Receiving a large amount of a benefit you will not use does not automatically make it a better option for you. If you need store balance separately from the subscription, you can explore the ItemGold Fortnite V-Bucks category and the Fortnite 1,000 V-Bucks product. Check the account and platform requirements for the PC/Global product. This package is not a Crew subscription and does not extend your subscription period.
