Saber Interactive and IO Interactive are gearing up to bring the first three games of the Hitman series to modern platforms as Hitman Classic Trilogy Remastered. The collection will introduce Hitman: Codename 47, Hitman 2: Silent Assassin, and Hitman: Contracts to players in 2027, featuring enhanced visuals, a photo mode, and an instant graphic change option.

Hitman's Classic Era is Coming to Modern Platforms

Hitman Classic Trilogy Remastered was announced during the IO Interactive Showcase and quickly made its way to the Steam page. The collection will be released for PC, PlayStation, and Xbox consoles in 2027. However, a Nintendo Switch version has not been announced at this stage.

The most remarkable aspect of this collection is its ability to make the design philosophy of the era before the modern World of Assassination era more accessible to today's players. While the Hitman series is known for its expansive sandbox levels, live service content, and replayable mission structure today, Agent 47's origins are based on a stealth design that was tougher, more experimental, and sometimes less forgiving.
